Eight rural communities—Agros, Deryneia, Fikardou, Kakopetria, Kalopanagiotis, Kyperounta, Lefkara and Statos–Agios Fotios—host the official Christmas Villages from 22 November 2025 to 6 January 2026. Visitors can expect cobbled lanes lit with warm lights, stalls selling handmade crafts and traditional treats, and themed experiences unique to each community. Highlights include Deryneia’s “Christmas Strawberry Land,” live lace-making demonstrations in Lefkara and a festive transformation of UNESCO-listed Fikardou. The villages operate on weekends, expanding to daily openings from 22 December to 6 January, offering workshops, carols and guided tours amid authentic Cypriot charm.
Nicosia’s historic moat becomes a vibrant funfair as Christmas Fairyland returns from 20 November 2025 to 11 January 2026. With amusement rides from Parko Paliatso, daily entertainment on a new performance stage, roaming characters and festive food stalls, the capital’s biggest open-air celebration attracts families throughout the season. Open from afternoon until late, Fairyland provides a lively Christmas carnival atmosphere right at the city’s heart.
Eleftheria Square hosts Nicosia’s official Christmas market for six weeks, from 29 November 2025 to 4 January 2026. More than 200 artisans rotate through wooden chalet stalls offering handmade gifts, ornaments and regional delicacies. The market features street performers, craft workshops, choir performances and the much-loved “Motorcycle Santa.” With mulled wine, festive street food and illuminated décor, the event brings a European market feel to the modern city centre.
Each weekend from 29 November to 28 December 2025, Ayia Napa Marina presents a seaside Christmas village decorated with shimmering lights along the waterfront. The grand opening includes fireworks, live performances and a concert by Stavros Konstantinou. Visitors can explore themed areas offering food stalls, film screenings, magic shows, children’s workshops and costumed performers. A towering tree overlooking the yachts completes the festive atmosphere.
Opening early on 25 October 2025, “Larnaca Christmas Land” lights up Europe Square and the Finikoudes promenade through December. The seafront becomes an open-air amusement area filled with child-friendly rides, sweet treats and evening performances. Weekend markets with local crafts and a 40-foot illuminated tree make this a favourite for young families. The blend of seaside calm and winter festivities sets Larnaca apart during the holiday season.
Limassol’s headline event takes place at Aphrodite Amathusia Plaza on 13–14 and 20–21 December 2025. The “Magic of Christmas” design showcase features curated trees and festive décor by local and international creatives, while the adjacent market offers rides, workshops, meet-and-greets with Santa, live choirs and craft stalls. The city will also host its annual Marina tree-lighting ceremony earlier in the month, complete with performances by the seaside.
