As part of the 2nd edition of the Poetry Moves Festival, which will take place in October 2024 at various venues in Nicosia, a photography competition titled "PhOETRY II" is being held for professional and amateur photographers.

According to an announcement from the organisation Alemosa Arts, "in the photography competition, poetry and photography interact and communicate, intersect and coexist." It is noted that the final submission date for the competition is set for July 12th.

As the announcement states, "marking the 50th year since the invasion and occupation in Cyprus and experiencing the immense humanitarian crises, wars, violence, and persecutions that lead to an unprecedented increase in displacement, the festival has chosen this year the theme 'Windows' which will be the core of the Festival."

Photographers are invited to submit their photos inspired by the poetry of poets Konstantinos Kavafis, Hermann Hesse, Hilde Domin, Antonia Pozzi, Christos Laskaris, Mona Savvidou Theodoulou, Roxani Nikolaou, Daphne Nikita, and Stavros X. Petrou with this specific theme.
