Girls in STEAM Academy Celebrates the Conclusion of its Successful BridgeSTEAM Program
Equipping Girls and Women With World-Class Training and Networking Opportunities
The Girls in STEAM Academy recently celebrated the conclusion of its third and final BridgeSTEAM event of the year at Youth Makerspace Larnaka, marking a significant milestone in its mission to empower young women in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM).
This year’s event, held over the past weekend, was a resounding success, featuring an enriching blend of programming lessons, inspirational encounters with female role models, the creation of new friendships, and enlightening discussions about the Sustainable Development Goals.
The program's success was made possible through the generous support and collaboration of several key sponsors and partners, including PwC Cyprus, the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Bank of Cyprus, Youth Makerspace Larnaka, and the Youth Board of Cyprus.
Girls in STEAM Academy, an initiative of the Be an Ally Foundation, is dedicated to addressing the underrepresentation of women and girls in STEAM fields both in Cyprus and internationally. The Academy focuses on equipping girls and women with world-class training and networking opportunities, with the ultimate goal of nurturing future leaders in STEAM industries.
