>>What Is the ‘ICT Re-Up Skilling’ Program and Why It Matters<<
According to an announcement from the Deputy Ministry, "with the appropriate training, selected individuals will acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully engage in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), with prospects to exploit new professional opportunities in sectors where there is increased demand."
The program will focus on the field of Data Analytics with training in the Power BI tool. The target group includes employed individuals or registered unemployed who possess academic qualifications in science or economics.
The training program will last approximately 10 weeks and will commence on March 18, 2024. Participation requires physical attendance. The language of instruction will be Greek, with practical exercises/tool use and examinations in English. The training program is offered free of charge.
The "ICT Re-Up Skilling" program, funded by the European Union's Recovery and Resilience Plan, is part of the National Action Plan developed by the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy to upgrade citizens' digital skills across the spectrum of social structure and economic activity.
Participants will take exams to receive certifications: (a) for the theoretical part of the courses, and (b) for knowledge in the Power BI tool. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive attendance certificates.
Several member companies of CITEA (A. Th. Loizou, IBM, NCR, NetU, Oracle, Powersoft, PWC) are willing to employ candidates who successfully pass the written exams after the training and meet the requirements in personal interviews, as reported.
Interested parties are requested to complete the relevant online form for program participation applications by Friday, February 16, 2024. Priority in evaluating applications for the pilot program will be given to registered unemployed individuals with the required academic background.
