Elias Kokkinos of EKCO Maximum Power Elected Vice President in Electromobility Association
The Primary Objectives of the Association Include Promoting Electromobility and Developing a Network and Infrastructure for Recharging EVs
Elias Kokkinos, the co-founder and Managing Director of EKCO Maximum Power, was elected Vice President in the newly established Association of Electromobility Companies and Professionals.
EKCO Maximum Power is a leading innovator in the field of electromobility and electric vehicle charging in Cyprus. The company is exclusively engaged in electromobility, offering cutting-edge solutions to meet the needs of electric vehicle owners. It specializes in installing electric vehicle charging stations in both public spaces and private properties (residences, apartment buildings, etc.). EKCO Maximum Power serves the need for easy and quick refueling of electric vehicles, as well as the development of an advanced network of charging points.
The co-founders of EKCO Maximum Power Solutions include Elias Kokkinos, now Vice President of the Association, and Charalambos Onoufriou.
The inaugural assembly of the Association was held on January 16th. The Association has been incorporated into the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI).
The primary objectives of the Association include promoting electromobility, transitioning to alternative forms of transportation, and simultaneously developing a network and infrastructure for recharging electric vehicles.
The aim is the widespread adoption of all kinds of electric or hybrid vehicles as means of transportation and their supporting infrastructures and technologies in the transport sector and beyond.
The Association comprises companies that are market leaders in various sectors, including Electric Vehicle Charger Managers – CPO/EMSP Service Providers, Car Importers, Electromobility Infrastructure Suppliers – Providers, and Electricians.
The Association's activities include, among others, all kinds of electric or hybrid vehicles – passenger, commercial, trucks, etc. – as complete mechanical constructions, and all their supporting subsystems, mechanical, electrical, electronic, software, etc.
Included also are networks and infrastructures to support these vehicles, ensuring their wider dissemination in accordance with the related policies and action plans of the State, e.g., electric energy distribution networks for electric vehicles and public charging stations for their batteries (conventional or advanced technology), networks of organized centers for maintenance/replacement of electric batteries, networks of rental stations for electric city cars, etc.
Additionally, monitoring the global and European legislative developments, offering incentives or removing disincentives for using electric vehicles, as well as legislative activities encouraging car manufacturers to expand their production to electric or hybrid vehicles with zero or near-zero emissions, is a significant aspect of the Association.
