Visa reported a revenue increase in its latest quarter, exceeding analysts' expectations and causing its stock to jump in after-hours trading.
Specifically, Visa's payment volume rose by 8% in the previous quarter, while net revenue grew by 10% to $8.8 billion.
Adjusted earnings per share for Visa reached $2.51, surpassing analysts' expectations of $2.44, according to LSEG data.
The company also maintained its forecast for revenue growth in 2024, expecting it to be in the "low single digits."
Following the announcement of these results, Visa's stock rose by 3% in after-hours trading.
