Supermarket, Store and Bank Easter Schedules
When They Will Be Closed
The shopping habits of people are now careful and targeted. Stores and banks will also be closed on Holy Wednesday. Supermarkets, butcheries, and bakeries/confectioneries will be prominently featured this week, as they are every year.
Consumers are preparing for the festive Easter table. As Mr Marios Antoniou, General Secretary of PASYLE, stated to Brief, people are now cautious and their purchases are targeted. "They make a shopping list, do their market research, and then shop selectively."
According to Mr Antoniou, store owners are generally satisfied with both the foot traffic and the turnover so far.
Regarding prices, they have increased compared to last year for well-known reasons. He also noted that there will be no shortage of products that are in high demand during this period. He emphasised that there would be no shortage of lamb in the market due to imports from Greece.
