Cyprus Will Win the Bet for an Attractive Investment Environment, Says President

Speaking at the Annual General Assembly of the Association of Large Investment Projects in Nicosia, the President Announced Two Key Initiatives

President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides stated on Wednesday that Cyprus will achieve its goal of strengthening entrepreneurship and creating a stable and attractive investment environment.

Speaking at the Annual General Assembly of the Association of Large Investment Projects in Nicosia, the President referred to two initiatives: a comprehensive state campaign to enhance Cyprus's international image and the preparation of a revised plan for legalizing and licensing illegal or new constructions in approved developments.

President Christodoulides highlighted that the land development sector and related investments, as vital pillars of the Cypriot economy, have shown dynamic growth in recent years despite a volatile external environment.

He noted that the government recognizes the current challenges and is determinedly formulating targeted policies and actions to maintain stability, aiming for economic development and benefiting entrepreneurship and social cohesion.

In this context, the President outlined the government's specific goals and initiatives for structural changes to support investments, reduce bureaucracy, and improve citizens' daily lives. "We work with dedication every day to implement these goals and initiatives, which are crucial for the evolving Cyprus, fostering a more resilient and competitive economy," he said.

The President emphasized that the government's prudent fiscal policy and targeted interventions have yielded results, aiming to maintain a resilient economy on a solid growth path.

He noted that the government is methodically strengthening Cyprus's image and credibility, promoting sustainable development, modernizing and reforming the state, and supporting social cohesion. "Above all, the government is committed to ensuring the well-being of citizens and improving their daily lives."
