Deadline Extended for 2024 Young Scientist Award Nominations

Submit Applications for the Ethical, Economic, and Political Sciences Award by June 20

The deadline for submitting nominations for the 2024 Young Scientist Award in the Class of Ethical, Economic, and Political Sciences has been extended to June 20, 2024. This award is open to all academic fields within the class, including theology, philosophy, law, political science, economics, social sciences, and related fields.

According to the announcement by the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Arts, interested individuals can submit their nominations electronically at [email protected], accompanied by the relevant documents, by June 20, 2024, at 18:00.

The award consists of a bronze medal and an honorary diploma, which will be presented at the Academy's Ceremonial Session in December 2024.

The award is given to distinguished and leading figures in the sciences, recognized for their significant contributions and achievements in their field. It serves as recognition for individuals associated with Cyprus who have made critical contributions to the advancement of sciences either in Cyprus or abroad.

Candidates for the award can be individuals of Cypriot origin or citizens of the Republic of Cyprus, up to 40 years old, regardless of their place of residence. Additionally, foreign nationals permanently residing in Cyprus who are leaders in their field with internationally recognized contributions are also eligible. The evaluation process considers the candidates' contributions and impact on Cyprus.

Nominations can be submitted by any individual, provided the candidate is aware of their nomination. The submission must include a justified report, a detailed CV in Greek and/or English, and any other supporting documents.
