Despite Middle East Turmoil, Tourist Arrivals in Cyprus Remain Strong

The Potential Escalation and a New Round of Attacks Are Concerning Hoteliers and Business Owners

So far, tourism in Cyprus remains robust, with arrivals staying at satisfactory levels even as the region appears poised for potential conflict.

When asked about the impact of regional developments on tourism, PASYXE General Manager Philokypros Rousounides told Brief that, so far, the effects on Cypriot tourism have been negligible.

He noted that cancellations are minimal, adding that arrivals and bookings are at very satisfactory levels.

Uncertainty in Case of Escalation

At the same time, the hotel industry is on edge, anxiously monitoring developments in the Middle East.

The potential escalation and a new round of attacks are concerning hoteliers and business owners who do not want to see a wave of cancellations from tourists affected by the conflicts or those looking to avoid Cyprus.
