6,000 Applications Received for Cyprus' "Photovoltaics for All" Program

The Ministry of Energy Expresses Satisfaction With the Strong Consumer Response to the First Phase of the Initiative

With the completion of 6,000 budgeted applications for the first phase of Category A3 "Photovoltaics for All" in July, as part of the "2024-25 Renewable Energy and Energy Saving Grants Plan for Homes," the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry has expressed satisfaction with the level of consumer participation.

According to the announcement, the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund has already reviewed and responded to over 5,000 applicants.

Furthermore, pre-approval has been granted to approximately 4,000 electricity consumers, who now have a 10-month window to seek quotes from installers listed in the "Participating Vendors" catalog. Afterward, they can proceed with installing photovoltaic systems in their homes.

The Ministry plans to soon announce the second phase of the new "Photovoltaics for All" category and expects a significant increase in photovoltaic system installations in the network during the coming period. This is due to market response to the growing demand, which is expected to reduce the overall installation time.
