Tourism Revenue in Cyprus Reaches €1.13 Billion in First Half of 2024
Revenue Increases by 4.2% Compared to the Same Period in 2023, With June Alone Showing a 6.6% Rise
Tourism revenue in Cyprus reached €1.13 billion during the period from January to June 2024, marking a 4.2% increase compared to the same period last year.
According to the Traveler Survey results, tourism revenue in June 2024 amounted to €385.2 million, up from €361.5 million in June 2023, representing a 6.6% increase.
The per capita expenditure of tourists in June 2024 was €798.77, compared to €791.03 in June 2023, showing a 1.0% rise.
British tourists, who represent the largest tourism market with 35.6% of all tourists in June 2024, spent an average of €94.66 per day. Israeli tourists, the second-largest market at 10.7%, spent an average of €146.16 per day.
Tourists from Poland, the third-largest market with 7.5%, spent €78.00 per day.
According to the Statistical Service, the average length of stay in June remained unchanged at 8.5 days.
