The management contract for the Troodos Observatory has officially been signed. According to an announcement by Cosmos Observatory, the project's owner, the Community of Agridia, represented by community leader Andreas Evgeniou, signed the agreement with a consortium consisting of the Troodos Development Company (ANET) and 1010 COSMOS Ltd.

The Troodos Observatory is scheduled to open to the public in June 2025, offering a wide range of activities including:

• Guided tours and public visits

• Astronomy events featuring high-quality telescopes

• Educational workshops and presentations

• Tourism packages that combine nature, culture, and astronomy

With this new management agreement, the observatory aims to strengthen scientific education and promote Cyprus as a leading astrotourism destination. As stated in the announcement, this initiative marks a significant step toward preserving the island’s dark sky and enhancing astronomical knowledge for both locals and visitors.
