A Christmas Tradition: How Kateryna Biloruska Supports Children with Cancer in Cyprus

The founder of the Kateryna Biloruska Foundation continues a Christmas tradition by visiting children at the Makarios III Hospital in Cyprus each year. Kateryna visited the oncology ward this year to spread holiday joy and deliver educational toys and books to young patients.

“There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the joy in children’s eyes. We ensure every child can access education and development, even in the most challenging circumstances. We will continue supporting children and initiating new social projects in 2025,” said Kateryna Biloruska during her visit.

More Than Just Gifts

The Foundation’s support for Makarios Hospital goes beyond Christmas gifts. It includes creating spaces where children can learn, play, and escape the confines of hospital rooms.

One such initiative was a special play area created with the support of the Kateryna Biloruska Foundation where children can study, play, and spend time away from the clinical environment. During this year’s visit, Kateryna and the hospital’s chief physician toured and enhanced the room with new games and books designed to foster creativity and critical thinking.

This initiative is part of the Kateryna Biloruska Foundation’s strategy to provide children with barrier-free education and development opportunities, regardless of social or physical circumstances. Every child deserves the chance to realize their potential and dream of a brighter future.

“We aim to create environments where children feel supported, can grow, and believe in themselves. Christmas is the perfect time to offer them this sense of hope and care,” Kateryna Biloruska added.
