UN Deputy Secretary-General Rosemary DiCarlo is scheduled to visit Cyprus on February 10 for meetings with President Nikos Christodoulides and Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar.
Ahead of DiCarlo’s visit, UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative in Cyprus, Colin Stewart, will hold separate meetings with the two leaders on Friday, February 9.
While DiCarlo’s official itinerary has yet to be announced by the United Nations, sources indicate that her meetings in Cyprus are set for February 10.
Additionally, discussions are ongoing regarding a potential meeting between the two leaders concerning border crossing issues, with an official date expected to be confirmed soon.
These diplomatic efforts come as part of ongoing UN-led initiatives aimed at addressing outstanding issues between the two sides.
