Cyprus Fintech Startups: Visa Innovation Program Opens for Applications
They Can Apply Until February 28 to Join Visa’s Innovation Network
Applications are now open for the seventh edition of the Visa Innovation Program Europe. The application form is available on the program’s official website, and submissions will be accepted until February 28.
The Visa Innovation Program is a collaboration platform designed to help fintech startups grow, enhance their value proposition, and engage with Visa and its extensive network of clients and partners.
Through the program, fintech startups gain access to a network of proof-of-concept partners and high-profile organizations, allowing them to test and validate their solutions and accelerate their market entry.
The program includes alumni from previous editions and a broad network of over 200 business partners, including banks, electronic money institutions, payment service providers, merchants, enterprises, and major e-commerce companies operating within the innovation ecosystem.
In Greece, Cyprus, and Malta, the program is implemented in collaboration with Eleven Ventures and Endeavor Greece.
For this new cycle, Visa Innovation Program Europe is seeking fintech startups that can deliver high-value solutions for Visa’s partners. Selected startups should offer scalable solutions that align with one or more of the following focus areas:
-
Artificial intelligence and next-generation payment experiences
-
Embedded finance and commerce enablement
-
Capital movement and payments infrastructure
-
Sustainable and inclusive financial solutions
Since its launch in 2018, Visa Innovation Program Europe has been implemented in Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Turkey, Spain, Italy, and Portugal. Over the years, the program has received 1,446 applications, with 250 fintech startups advancing to the final stage. More than 120 companies have been selected to participate, benefiting from 1,500 hours of mentorship and over 600 business introductions, leading to more than 100 successful partnerships.
Fintech startups that advance to the next phase of the Visa Innovation Program Europe will be notified by the end of March. The program runs until November and will conclude with the Visa Innovation Program Europe Summit, where participating companies will showcase their progress to industry leaders, Visa executives, program alumni, and key players in the payments ecosystem.
