Larnaca and Paphos Airports Record Passenger Traffic Growth in March 2025
Cyprus airports report a 5.91% increase in March passengers and the highest-ever traffic for Q1.
Larnaca and Paphos airports welcomed 707,304 passengers during March 2025, representing a 5.91% increase compared to the same month in 2024. This growth contributes to the highest recorded passenger traffic for the January–March period, with a 6.79% year-on-year increase.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Transport, this continued growth follows the positive trends observed throughout 2024.
Passenger volume at Larnaca Airport rose by 15.17%, while Paphos Airport saw a decline of 11.45% compared to March 2024.
Aircraft movements across both airports also increased, with a 5.85% year-on-year rise, reaching a total of 5,921 flights.
Key markets contributing to passenger traffic included Greece, the United Kingdom, Israel, Poland, and Germany.
In absolute numbers, Larnaca Airport saw the most significant increases in flights to and from Israel, Greece, the UK, Poland, and Armenia. Meanwhile, Paphos recorded increases in routes to and from Germany, Israel, Sweden, Lithuania, and Ireland.
Conversely, Larnaca Airport experienced the largest decreases in traffic from Germany, Austria, France, Lithuania, and Hungary, while Paphos Airport saw declines from Greece, Italy, France, Hungary, and Bulgaria.
