Former Cyprus President Anastasiades Testifies Before Anti-Corruption Authority
Investigation Relates to Claims Made in Makarios Drousiotis’ Book "Mafia State"
At around 8:25 a.m. on Monday, former President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Anastasiades, arrived at the offices of the Anti-Corruption Authority to testify in the ongoing investigation related to Makarios Drousiotis' book "Mafia State."
The former President, who recently published his own book titled "The Slanderer" in an attempt to respond to the journalist and former associate’s allegations, was accompanied by his lawyer, Achilleas Emilianides, and appeared to be in good spirits.
Anastasiades' testimony before the Authority is scheduled to continue on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
