UK-Cyprus Enterprise Council Presents Strategic Vision to High Commissioner

Dialogue Dinner Highlights 12 Years of Initiatives and Strengthens Bilateral Cooperation Between Cyprus and the UK

The UK-Cyprus Enterprise Council presented its initiatives to the High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus to the United Kingdom, Dr Kyriacos Kouros, during an evening of strategic dialogue and reflection.

Held as a working dinner, the event was described by the Council as “a particularly constructive occasion” that brought together members of the Council leadership and participants from the Gen Y Innovation Network. Attendees had the opportunity to showcase the Council’s work and initiatives developed over the past 12 years.

In return, High Commissioner Kouros delivered a comprehensive briefing on recent political and economic developments in Cyprus, fostering a two-way exchange of insights and perspectives.

According to the Council’s statement, the event forms part of the Council’s broader strategy of ongoing collaboration with the Cyprus High Commission in London.

The goal, the Council emphasized, is to strengthen UK–Cyprus connectivity and deepen the strategic relationship between the two historically linked nations.

Council President Peter Droussiotis stated that the Council’s core mission is to cultivate a vibrant network of talented individuals from the Cypriot diaspora in the UK. Professionals, entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, and academics from younger generations are at the center of the Council’s efforts, aimed at amplifying the voice and influence of the Cypriot community within British economic and social life.
