Cypriot Chef Adriana Efstratiou Wins Bronze at La Cuillère d'Or Competition in Paris

Adriana Efstratiou Showcases Traditional Kolokoti at High-Level Culinary Events in Paris

Highlighting Cyprus’ rich culinary heritage, chef Adriana Efstratiou was recognized for her preparation of the traditional “Kolokoti” during a prestigious showcase held at two renowned events in Paris. The events took place on November 6-7, 2024, at the Chocolate Academy France and the Salon Equip Hotel, both emphasizing the importance of increasing female representation in the culinary world and offering international recognition to women, whether professional chefs or passionate amateurs.

The competition invited participants to develop creations under the themes “We Are Not Pies” for the Pastry Trophy and “We Are Not Quiches” for the Cuisine Trophy. Competitors had 2.5 hours to present their dishes to a distinguished panel of judges, presided over by Nina Métayer in the pastry category and Ghislaine Arabian in the culinary division.

Notably, Adriana Efstratiou was previously awarded the title of Young Chef of the Year in 2023 and is an active member of Cyprus’ National Youth Culinary Team. She currently works in the esteemed kitchen of the Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol, embodying excellence and dedication in the field of gastronomy.
