Cyprus Cabinet Announces Key Appointments to Various Boards

Council Appoints New Members to Planning, Economic, and Ports Authorities

The Council of Ministers decided to appoint Sotiris Ktoridis as President and Dimitris Dimitriou as a member of the Board of the Deviation Study Council, in accordance with the regulations concerning Town Planning and Deviation. The representatives of the Union of Municipalities, the Union of Communities, and the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK) are expected to be submitted soon, as stated by Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis.

In statements following the Cabinet meeting, Letymbiotis also announced the appointment of members to the Cyprus Economy and Competitiveness Council. Dimitris Georgiades was named President, with Giorgos Syrichas as Vice President. Other members include Christoforos Anagiotos, Lysandros Ioannou, Adonis Pigasios, Omiros Pissarides, Giorgos Kitazos, Evangelos Tryfonos, Maria Irakleous, and Poly Papavassiliou.

Additionally, the Cabinet approved the appointment of Kyriakos Psaras as a member of the Board of the Cyprus Ports Authority. His appointment follows the usual procedure, with the Parliament being informed and his resume sent for review, in line with the standard practice for appointments to boards of public law entities.

The Cabinet also decided to revoke the Cypriot citizenship of eight individuals who had been naturalized through the Cyprus Investment Program. This decision affects both the investors and their dependents.
