FastForward had the opportunity to sit down with Giorgos Giorgakis, the founder and Managing Director of Eurosuccess Consulting, to gain deeper insights into the company’s impact and his journey as a leader in this field.

In this interview, Giorgos Giorgakis shares what inspired him to pursue a career in business administration and consulting, as well as the motivations behind founding Eurosuccess Consulting. He also discusses the evolution of the funding landscape, the key services offered by Eurosuccess, and his vision for the company’s future growth.

Even before the accession of Cyprus within the EU, in 2004, our country was eligible to participate and advance through various EU collaborative programs and initiatives. This of course, had been significantly upscaled after our accession; all EU programs and initiatives, were also available for the Cypriot business ecosystem as well, equally and openly like in any other EU country, regardless of size and status.

Unfortunately, during the early years of our accession, the promotion and information campaigns and other actions by the relevant governmental and other authorities and organizations, were not sufficient nor well targeted. This resulted to the lack of knowledge of the existence of the various EU funding schemes and opportunities, as well as of the necessary procedures for applying for them, by the Cypriot businesses. Because of this, a significant amount of funding had not been effectively utilized and absorbed within the Cypriot business economy.

It was at that point in, 2009, we realized the need to fill the gap of providing information, guidelines and support, towards current/new entrepreneurs and businesses of all sectors was a must.Hence, taking  the strategic decision to establish Eurosuccess Consulting.

The services we provide at National level, comprise of a holistic package of support towards our business partners; from the research, to the creation and development of their strategic goals and needs:

- Exploitation of funding schemes and opportunities: information and practical support and guidance on the necessary procedures; applying for the funding, monitoring of the application’s evaluation phase and providing any support needed, project implementation monitoring, applying for the funding, during and after the successful implementation of the project.

- Training and Consulting: provision of funded seminars towards the Cypriot businesses, coming from all sectors, regardless of size. We offer a wide variety of seminars in various key areas, such as: Management /Supervision, Development of Human Resources, Marketing/Sales/Public Relations, Digital Skills & Artificial Intelligence (AI). Furthermore, our seminars can be offered with the participation of different businesses simultaneously or in-house and adjusted to the needs, environment and vision of a specific business. Important to mention, that participants, can be funded up to 80% of the cost, since Eurosuccess Consulting is accredited as a Vocational Training Center (VET), Vocational Training Structure, as well as possess a network of internal and external certified trainers, by the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus.

- Consulting services: through our immense experience, as well as internal and external network of business experts, we are in position to support, both start ups as well as existing businesses, in order to achieve efficiently their strategic goals and vision, through different tools such as the development of business plans and feasibility studies.

- Recruitment and training of personnel: we support businesses, coming from all industry sectors and sizes, to recruit and develop their new personnel, through the exploitation of the various funding schemes which are available in Cyprus.

Our services are characterized by constant effort of improvement and expansion, being carefully adjusted and evolved according to the rapidly changing business environment and the needs of our customers and partners. Since 2009, Eurosuccess Consulting has managed (as coordinator) and participated in 110+ EU and National educational and research projects. These projects are mainly focused on the development of innovative results, such as training materials and methods, e-learning platforms and ICT tools etc, adjusted to the specific sector and needs that each project is addressed to. Main components of these projects are the EU collaboration and exchange of good practices among EU and international organizations, as well as the usage of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence.

The prime beneficiaries of these achievements, to transfer and utilize within their context, are our business clients and partners. Therefore, as you can imagine, such projects and initiatives, being brought in Cyprus by our organization, are vital for the constant growth and evolution of our businesses and entrepreneurs.

Over the last years, Cyprus has not only managed to overturn the negative phenomenon I’ve mentioned in the start of this interview, but we are considered among the top EU members as regards to the efficient exploitation of the various funding schemes and opportunities.

Through these funding opportunities, innovative startups have been created, established businesses have been developed further as well as synergies have been established in Cyprus and abroad.

Impact Cyprus focuses on integrating vulnerable social groups into the labor market through Business Funding Schemes. Impact Europe involves participating in European proposals for social development and eliminating social inequalities, such as programs for students with visual impairments and reducing labour market discrepancies. Impact Society includes organizing events for social benefit, such as reducing produce waste, beach clean-ups, and supporting local farmers. We also sponsor and donate to charity events and organizations that support, for example, children battling cancer and leukemia.

Who: Giorgos Giorgakis is the founder and Managing Director of Eurosuccess Consulting. He has graduated from the European University of Cyprus, with a Master Degree (MBA) in Business Administration in July 2008. He has developed, managed and implemented more than 90 EU and National projects (FP, LLP, JUSTICE, ERASMUS +, COSME, RIF etc.) Mr Giorgakis is also the Coordinator of the VET and training activities for Eurosuccess, which is accredited as VET Center by the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus – the relevant public authority as regards to training and education. As regards to the participation of professional bodies and associations at EU level, Mr Giorgakis is the National Representative for Cyprus, at European Forum of Vocational Education and Training (EfVET). Under this capacity, Mr Giorgakis is actively participating into various working groups, trainings, events and conferences contributing in this way to the development of the EU strategies as well as supporting all relevant organizations, in Cyprus and abroad.
