The Council of Ministers has chosen Polyvios Lemonaris to lead the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority (CERA).

Mr. Lemonaris, a naval and mechanical engineer by training, previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) under the former administration. During his tenure, he also represented the EAC on the board of the Natural Gas Infrastructure Company (ETYFA). In December 2023, Mr. Lemonaris was appointed head of the Energy Team within the Democratic Party (DIKO).
