‘Photovoltaics for All’ Application Process to Commence in February

6,000 Households Are Expected to Benefit From This Scheme

The application process for the 'Photovoltaics for All' scheme will finally commence in February.

As stated by the Minister of Energy, Giorgos Papanastasiou, to Brief, the plan will be officially announced in the coming days. Subsequently, the platform for registering solar system installers will open, a process expected to be completed by the end of January.

Following the preparation of the installer registry, the platform will open for citizen applications within February.

State Grant of €1,250 per kW

The Minister of Energy added that the state would agree to a maximum price of €5,000 for the installation of a 4.2kW photovoltaic system with the registered installers.

Citizens will not be required to make any advance payments, and the amount will be repaid through bi-monthly installments of €150.

It's important to note, as the Minister added, that citizens can choose to install a 4.2kW photovoltaic system with better specifications, and thus more expensive, if they wish. However, they will need to cover the cost difference themselves, as the state will only subsidize €1,250 per kW in this scheme.

It is worth reminding that 6,000 households are expected to benefit from this scheme. The established installation cost will not exceed €5,000, and the budget for the scheme is set at 30 million euros.
