Homeownership in Cyprus Slightly Below EU Average in 2023
Eurostat Report Highlights Housing Trends Across EU Member States
In 2023, 68.8% of Cypriot citizens lived in owner-occupied homes, slightly below the European Union average of 69.2%, according to data released by Eurostat, the EU's statistical office.
During the same period, 31.2% of Cypriots resided in rented accommodations, slightly higher than the EU average of 30.8%.
The highest rates of homeownership among EU member states in 2023 were recorded in:
