The Municipality of Polis Chrysochous is moving forward with the upgrade of the Municipal Stadium, promoting the issue of funding for the renovations.

This week in Nicosia, a meeting was held between Mayor Yiotis Papachristofi and the President of the Cyprus Sports Organization, Yiannis Ioannou, along with the Organization’s General Director, Dr. Mary Charalambous-Papamiltiades. Also present were the Municipal Secretary, the Municipal Engineer, and Technical Services Officers of the CSO, according to an announcement by the Municipality.

The purpose of the meeting, which took place in a very positive atmosphere, was to discuss the application submitted by the Municipality for funding the upgrade of the Polis Municipal Stadium.

The President of the CSO indicated that the Municipality's request is viewed positively by the Organization. Within the next few weeks, a proposal for funding approval of €260,000 will be submitted to the Board of Directors. The announcement concludes that the tender for the construction work on the project is expected to be issued by the end of the year.
