JA StartUp 2023 FINALE AND AWARDS CEREMONY

JA StartUp 2023 FINALE AND AWARDS CEREMONY

Junior Achievement Cyprus (JA Cyprus), dedicated to fostering business ideas and driving innovation, is organizing the Finale and Awards Ceremony of the "JA StartUp 2023" programme. With a strong commitment to empowering aspiring entrepreneurs, this event is the result of the work of 200 university students and an opportunity for them to showcase their creative ideas and entrepreneurial skills.

Through this programme, JA Cyprus not only nurtures the spirit of innovation but also instils vital business knowledge and practical skills in the participants. The Finale and Awards Ceremony represents a pivotal moment for these aspiring entrepreneurs, as it recognizes their hard work, determination, and creative thinking. By celebrating their achievements, JA Cyprus inspires the next generation of business leaders and cultivates an environment that encourages entrepreneurial excellence and growth in Cyprus.

The Finale will take place on Thursday, June 1st, 2023, between 16:30 – 20:00 at ASBIS TECH CLUSTER in Limassol (Iapeto 1 4101, Ag. Athanasios). The event is open to the public by reservation at the link HERE until 26/05/2023.

During the event, the 10 finalist teams from the 42 student startups who participated this year will have the opportunity to present their innovative business ideas on stage and will be evaluated through interviews by a Jury. All teams submitted a commercial video and a business plan, which were evaluated by a jury committee to determine the ten finalists.

The StartUp programme allows students to create their own businesses, giving them an insight into how their talents could be used to establish a business. Students gain real experience in the business world: they come up with ideas, create and research a business plan, and take on all the responsibilities of running a business. They also develop attitudes and skills necessary for personal success and employability and for understanding how businesses work.

This year the program was implemented with the participation of students from 8 Universities in Cyprus, with the support of 17 academics and 30 mentors.

The 10 finalist teams in alphabetical order are:

  1. 1. AvaMe – University of Cyprus
