Youth Tech Festival 2023 - Inspiring Youth to Reach for the Stars

Entry is absolutely free, democratizing access to the latest educational innovations and glean insights from global pioneers.

FastForward is excited to spotlight the upcoming Youth Tech Fest Cyprus 2023. Scheduled for 18 November, this marquee event will be hosted at the University of Nicosia's main campus and is championed by the Executives’ Club of Cyprus.

Endorsed by the Ministry of Education in Cyprus, the festival represents more than just an exposition of children's enthusiasm for technology, science, art, the environment, and entrepreneurship. It's also an ode to educators' monumental efforts in shaping tech-savvy, future-ready citizens.

Highlighting inclusivity, the event opens its arms to children aged 6 to 18 from diverse backgrounds, be it public or private schooling, Cypriot or international origins, and regardless of their economic stature. With an emphasis on broadening horizons, initiatives are in place to inspire more girls to venture into tech and to champion quality education access for the less privileged, as well as those navigating unique learning or health challenges.

The best part? Entry is absolutely free, democratizing access to the latest educational innovations and glean insights from global pioneers.

The festival is organized into three enriching segments:

Tech Fest

Dive into an electrifying day, teeming with interactive experiences, workshops, and activities orchestrated by industry mavens, designed for children aged 6 to 18. Explore robotics, games, virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, wood working, coding, animation, and fun science experiments which are guided by educators, entertainers, scientists, engineers, and programmers. Families can indulge together or let young enthusiasts venture on their own through age-appropriate adventures.

Summit

Prepare to be enlightened by a stellar lineup of international luminaries, sharing the best in global trends and educational practices. Representatives from renowned entities like the European Commission, Google, Shell, Oracle and the Royal Institution will be present. The intent?

Firstly, to empower the educators with intelligence related to the new educational tools and strategies that are scientifically supported and worth adopting. Secondly, to cultivate lasting partnerships between academia, business, and government to collaboratively design forward-thinking programs that will motivate our youth to innovate and catalyze positive change.

Awards

In a celebration of E2STEAM (environment, entrepreneurship, engineering, art, and math), every nominated project is honored, eschewing the traditional ranking system. The invaluable role of project mentors also receives its deserved spotlight.

Join us this November at the Youth Tech Fest Cyprus 2023, where we will collaboratively fan the flames of creativity and innovation in our next generation.
