CloudLayer8 recently welcomed Mr. Demetris Skourides, the Chief Scientist for Research, Innovation and Technology, for a comprehensive tour of its state-of-the-art facilities.

Mr. Skourides, who is also the Chairman of the Board at RIF, was hosted by CL8’s management team, including CTO Michalis Stavrinou. During his visit, Mr. Skourides gained insights into CL8’s strategic vision and its leading role in Cyprus' tech industry.

CEO Peter G. Economides further emphasized CL8’s commitment to delivering customized, turnkey solutions that cater to industry-specific needs. Mr. Economides also expressed the company’s readiness for collaboration with hyper-scale cloud providers and reiterated CL8’s availability to support RIF, the Cyprus Government, and other state authorities or organizations seeking to leverage the company’s extensive capabilities, infrastructure, expertise, and talented workforce.

The visit highlighted the critical role of research and innovation in establishing Cyprus as a dynamic technology and research hub in the region. Discussions also covered the importance of artificial intelligence in the economy and the advancement opportunities provided by the RIF.
