Exploration of Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Networks and Data, Visualizations, and More
In the heart of the historic center of Nicosia, a unique artist residency program, "The Boundary Crosser," developed by the CYENS Centre of Excellence, has pioneered new paths in collaboration between artists and technology professionals, as revealed in a recent announcement.
According to CYENS, "Over a period of five months, seven artists, both local to Cyprus and international, worked in partnership with the research laboratories of CYENS to create new artworks and explore ways of interaction between the arts and cutting-edge technologies."
The artists also engaged in Creative Placemaking processes, continuously interacting with the city and its people, the CYENS community, and the local artistic scene.
The collaboration between the artists and CYENS research teams has opened new possibilities for creativity, participation, and dialogue. These opportunities are rooted in the exploration of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality, networks and data, visualizations, and more, concludes the announcement.
