Cyprus Climbs Nine Spots in Global Startup Ecosystem Index
Limassol, Nicosia, Larnaca and Paphos All Feature in the Global Top 1,000 Cities With Substantial Improvements in Their Rankings
The Deputy Ministry of Research has announced that Cyprus has achieved the largest jump in the Startup Blink Global Startup Ecosystem Index 2024, climbing nine spots to 45th.
According to a press release by the Deputy Ministry for Research, Cyprus is one of the biggest winners in the Startup Blink Global Startup Ecosystem Index 2024. The country has achieved the largest jump in the global top 60 this year, climbing nine spots to 45th, marking its first entry into the global top 50.
Limassol, Nicosia, Larnaca, and Paphos all feature in the global top 1,000 cities with substantial improvements in their rankings.
Nicodemos Damianou, the Deputy Minister for Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy, said, "This is a great achievement for our vibrant startup ecosystem that helps us continue on our path to position Cyprus as a regional innovation and technology hub. We remain committed to continue supporting innovative entrepreneurship to thrive in Cyprus."
Eli David Rokah, the CEO of Startup Blink, congratulated Cyprus for its innovative policies that are incentivizing the rapid growth of its startup ecosystem, according to the press release.
