Over 600 Students Compete in Robotics Challenges, with Winners Advancing to International Championships
The 4th Nationwide Robotic Day & FIRST Tech Challenge Cyprus 2025 took place last weekend in Nicosia, attracting more than 600 students alongside international teams from Russia and Kazakhstan.
The event, organized by the Achievement Foundation for Talented and Gifted Youth, featured two main competitions: Robotic Day Cyprus 2025, which included robotic challenges using ENGINO, LEGO, and ARDUINO platforms, and FIRST Tech Challenge Cyprus 2025, focused on advanced robotics using the REV platform.
The competition crowned the winning teams of Robotic Day Cyprus 2025, who have earned the right to participate in Robotic Day 2025 in Prague this June.
Due to the diverse range of robotic challenges, multiple teams from various schools and training centers qualified.
Additionally, the winners of FIRST Tech Challenge Cyprus 2025 were: MouflonBots 2 from Epitévma Educational Center (Cyprus), and Aspirity (Russia).
These teams will compete at the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship in Houston, USA, in April.
Furthermore, teams advancing to the FIRST Tech Challenge Premier Event in Eindhoven, Netherlands, in July include: Junior Jokers from Akaki Gymnasium, and Circuit Breakers from The Senior School
The Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth, along with the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy, placed the event under their auspices.
The event was organized by the Achievement Foundation for Talented and Gifted Youth, a registered non-profit organization.
