Through this partnership, select Cyprus Seeds teams from universities and Centers of Excellence in Cyprus participate in Conception X’s specialized training and mentorship programs, gaining valuable entrepreneurial tools and guidance to bring their innovations to market. Conception X’s proven track record in turning academic research into successful startups aligns seamlessly with Cyprus Seeds’ commitment to fostering scientific entrepreneurship.

Cyprus Seeds is a not-for-profit, private company in Cyprus, with the vision to commercialize innovative academic research and create a pipeline of Cypriot technology spin-offs. To achieve this, Cyprus Seeds runs an 18-month Innovation Grant Program which provides grants, mentoring, training, and networking opportunities with investors in Cyprus and abroad. Furthermore, Cyprus Seeds is a partner in two flagship initiatives in Cyprus, supported by the European Commission and the Cyprus Government. These are the PHAETHON Teaming Project and the DiGiNN. Cyprus Seeds has received a number of national and international awards and recognitions. The most recent recognition is the ranking by the Financial Times in 2025 as one of Europe's Leading Start-up Hubs. We have an amazing network of partners in the USA and Europe, including The Hellenic Initiative, The MIT Deshpande Centre for Technology Innovation, the egg accelerator, the Conception X venture program, DTU Skylab, and The Hellenic Innovation Network of the Greeks and Cypriots of the Diaspora in Boston.

Conception X is a UK-based not-for-profit that runs Europe's largest cross-university deep-tech venture programme for PhD students. Its mission is to turn more scientists into founders, accelerating scientific breakthroughs and building new career pathways for researchers. Since launching in 2018, Conception X has recruited eight cohorts from 70+ universities across 11 countries, built over 170 deep-tech companies and had two exits – quantum drug discovery company Rahko and energy optimisation startup Kapacity.io – with a third to be announced soon. Its startups have developed anything from vaccines for cancer metastasis to living building materials that absorb carbon. The Conception X portfolio is valued at over £500 million.
