RIF Announces New Co-Develop Program for Enhanced Resource Utilization and Innovative Solutions
The Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) announced the launch of a new funding program, "Co-Development," with a total budget of €6 million. This program aims to better utilize resources and implement innovative solutions to real-world problems.
According to the announcement, the ultimate goal of the program is to establish a genuine connection between the research community and industry in the fields of digital technologies, advanced materials, agri-food, health, and the environment. It also seeks to leverage existing expertise to enhance the competitiveness of the economy and improve the quality of life in Cyprus.
The Foundation stated that the maximum funding per project is €600,000. Proposals for collaborative research and the development of technological solutions are expected to be funded. The projects are anticipated to be implemented by domestic collaboration networks consisting of at least one business and one research organization.
The announcement highlights that selected entities will have access to free support services and knowledge transfer tools provided by RIF through the Central Knowledge Transfer Office.
The program is financed by the Cohesion Policy Program "THALEIA 2021-2027" and the European Regional Development Fund. Proposals must be submitted through the RIF's IRIS platform, with a deadline of November 22 at 13:00.
