Step into Cyprus: Google Street View Goes Live Across the Island

Over 10,000 km of roads, historic sites, and natural landscapes are now available on Google Maps.

Google has officially launched Street View in Cyprus, offering for the first time 360-degree panoramic images of the island’s streets, landmarks, and natural landscapes through Google Maps.

With Cyprus now added to the platform, Street View coverage across all European Union countries is complete — allowing users around the world to virtually explore Cyprus’ unique blend of culture, history, and natural beauty.

More than 10,000 kilometres of roads across the island have been captured — from bustling city centres and mountain villages to tranquil coastal routes that highlight Cyprus’ stunning scenery.

Street View, a feature within Google Maps, allows users to explore places around the globe through panoramic street-level imagery. It lets users “walk” virtually along roads and discover local attractions with ease.

For the Cyprus project, special Google vehicles photographed public roads and authorised locations using advanced imaging technology designed to protect privacy by automatically blurring faces and license plates.

With Street View now available in Google Maps, users everywhere can discover Cyprus’ diverse landscapes and cultural treasures — from anywhere in the world.
