The NGO Graphic Stories Cyprus proudly announces its participation in the 2024 World Industrial Design Conference (WIDC2024), representing Cyprus and Greece in the fields of design and technology. The event will take place from September 20 to 25 in Yantai, China, offering a platform for global designers to engage in discussions, share ideas, and foster new collaborations in industrial design.

WIDC2024 is a premier event in the global design agenda. Since 2016, it has emerged as a key gathering for innovative designers from around the world, promoting the connection between design, economic, and social development. The upcoming WIDC2024 includes the Opening Ceremony, specialized lectures, international exhibitions on industrial design innovations, professional forums, and the Designers’ Gala Night.

Graphic Stories Cyprus will be represented by its founder and artistic director, Angeliki Athanasiadi, a visual communication designer, and co-founder and general coordinator Miltos Karras, a physics and robotics professor and chairman of the Cyprus Computer Society’s robotics competition technical committee. Both have earned international recognition and awards in the fields of design and technology. Their talks will address topics such as social design, artificial intelligence, and robotics, focusing on how these technologies will impact the creative and educational sectors in the coming years.

WIDC2024 organizers have selected Graphic Stories Cyprus to represent Cyprus and Greece in the design sector, providing an exhibition booth to showcase the organization’s publications and creative works. The booth will feature the documentary "Destinat10n," which celebrates the 10-year journey of Graphic Stories and its contributions to the world of design.
