Invest Cyprus participated in the Viva Technology event held in Paris from May 22 to 25, aiming to boost international recognition of Cyprus as an attractive destination for innovative businesses and high-tech investments.

According to a statement from Invest Cyprus, Viva Technology is a premier event in the technology sector, bringing together high-level international participants, including government officials, senior business executives, and representatives from international organizations.

Invest Cyprus's presence at Viva Technology underscores its active role in promoting Cyprus as a significant technology hub in the wider Southeastern European region. The organization highlighted Cyprus's advantages as a tech center to attract key investors and businesses in the technology sector.

The statement emphasized that Invest Cyprus's strategic priority focuses on developing a robust high-tech ecosystem in Cyprus. Recognizing the potential of the technology and digital services sector as critical drivers for diversifying its development model, Invest Cyprus is working to enhance the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) sector through several initiatives:

• Creating a comprehensive high-tech ecosystem: This includes attracting international tech talent, collaborating with Cypriot universities and various institutions, securing funds from diverse financial sources, and investing in human capital.

• Talent attraction and retention: A fundamental objective is to attract and retain talent in the technology field.

Invest Cyprus noted that Cyprus has already emerged as a well-established and growing technology hub within the European Union, offering an attractive location for business activities with easy access to a market of 500 million consumers and proximity to the Middle East and North Africa regions.

Furthermore, many leading international technology companies have already chosen Cyprus to set up their headquarters, regional offices, software development centers, and expand their operations or establish innovative startups.
