Launch of Startups4Peace 2024: A New Beginning for Bi-communal Innovation

Greek and Turkish Cypriot Collaboration Through Entrepreneurship

The Startups4Peace (Su4P) 2024 bi-communal accelerator program was announced on Thursday, June 27, by the Eunite: SME project team.

According to the announcement, Su4P is a competition and mini-accelerator program co-funded by the European Union and the Embassy of Finland. It operates under the Eunite: SME project, implemented by GIZ International Services, in collaboration with the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, and CyprusInno.

The program encourages innovative entrepreneurs and startups with fresh and emerging business ideas in Cyprus to meet, collaborate, and develop bonds and relationships between the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities.

Successful candidates are supported to develop, test, and market their business ideas through a series of educational programs in bootcamps, personalized mentoring, and a pitching battle competition. The top three winning teams will receive the final prize of participating in SLUSH, the world's leading startup event, held in Helsinki, Finland, in November 2024.

The application call opened on June 27 and will close on August 12. More information on the criteria, guidelines, and application process is available here, the announcement concludes.
