Pentakomo Tech Park: New Tender After Two Decades of Delays
Ministry of Energy launches investor tender for long-delayed Science and Technology Park project in Pentakomo.
After nearly two decades of setbacks, the Cypriot government has taken steps to revive the long-anticipated Science and Technology Park (STP) project in Pentakomo. On Thursday, the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry officially launched a competitive tender process to select a strategic investor for the park’s development and operation.
The tender, issued under reference number YEEB/YBT/02/2025 and titled “Development and Operation of a Science and Technology Park (STP),” is accessible exclusively through the Republic of Cyprus’s Electronic Public Procurement System (www.eprocurement.gov.cy). The deadline for submission of proposals is Friday, 12 September 2025.
The relaunch comes after years of inaction and failed tender attempts that rendered the original 400,000-square-meter site partially unused and reduced the available development area to approximately 200,000 square meters.
