Britain to Deliver Turkey’s First Eurofighter Jets in 2030
Package includes Meteor missiles, domestic systems integration, and UK production involvement.
The first delivery of Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets to Turkey is scheduled for 2030, according to the Turkish defence-focused website SavunmaTR, which cites confirmation from the British Embassy in Ankara.
According to the report, the package includes the long-range Meteor air-to-air missile. Turkey will also be granted rights to integrate domestically produced weapons, software, and systems, as well as full national control over mission data.
The process will be carried out in two phases. The first phase involves the procurement of aircraft and armaments, followed by agreements covering maintenance, logistical support, and training.
The United Kingdom retains a central role in the production of the Eurofighter Typhoon.
