The Industry Turnover Index decreased by 4.4% in March 2024 compared to March 2023, falling to 132.0 points (base year 2021=100).

According to the Statistical Service, for the period January – March 2024, the index increased by 0.8% compared to the same period in 2023.

By economic activity, according to the data from the Statistical Service, the turnover in Manufacturing decreased by 1.5% in March 2024 compared to March of the previous year, while in the Electricity Supply sector it decreased by 18.4%.

In contrast, the turnover in the Mining and Quarrying sector increased by 1.8%, and in the Water Supply and Materials Recovery sector by 6.7%, compared to March 2023.
