There was a significant increase in the volume and value of retail trade turnover in April 2024, compared to April 2023, according to data released on Monday by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.

Specifically, the Retail Trade Turnover Value Index increased by 6.5% in April 2024 compared to the same month in 2023.

During the same month, the Retail Trade Turnover Volume Index increased by 5.3% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.

For the January-April 2024 period, the Value Index is estimated to have increased by 5.7% and the Volume Index by 5.0% compared to the same period in 2023.
