Bolsterup Construction Through Digital Innovation

Bolsterup Construction Through Digital Innovation

Bridging two worlds

Bolsterup emerged as a response to a clear gap in the construction industry—a sector traditionally slow to adopt digital advancements. Co-founded by Sotiris Pittas, the platform serves as a comprehensive ecosystem designed to streamline the matchmaking of businesses in construction projects by fostering collaboration among all industry professionals.

From architects and engineers to workers and material suppliers, Bolsterup simplifies the process of team assembly for upcoming projects, showcasing the real work of professionals, their capabilities and collaborations. Remarkably, before its official launch, the platform had already attracted 100 paying customers, demonstrating the urgent need for such a solution in the market.

This early success was not accidental; it was the result of meticulous customer engagement. By listening to the needs of potential users, the Bolsterup team identified key pain points, such as the necessity for a swift and straightforward onboarding process and tailored their platform accordingly.

The Visionaries Behind Bolsterup

The strength of Bolsterup lies not just in its technology but in the diverse expertise of its founding team. Sotiris Pittas brings invaluable industry knowledge from his experiences in Dubai and Australia. Alongside him is Joanna Krashia, with her background in financial advisory and product management in Dubai and Australia, and Alejandro Fernandez, a full-stack developer from Australia responsible for building the platform from scratch.

This trio of founders chose Cyprus as their launchpad, leveraging their deep networks to test and refine Bolsterup before scaling it internationally. Their collective skills have enabled Bolsterup to navigate the challenges of technology adoption in the construction industry, particularly among veterans resistant to change.

Journey and Vision

Bolsterup's journey from a concept to a platform that is already expanding its presence in Greece and Dubai reflects its founders' strategic and responsive approach. The team's agility in adapting to feedback and improving the user interface has been crucial in this process. Their expansion strategy is not limited to specific regions; they are open to exploring opportunities across the entire Gulf region.

Despite facing challenges typical of startups, such as market penetration and adoption hurdles, Bolsterup has remained steadfast in its mission. The platform's unique selling proposition—enhancing exposure, discoverability, and connectivity for construction projects and companies—stands as a testament to its potential to transform the industry.

Bolsterup hosts a database that showcases the track records of various construction projects worldwide, thereby enabling professionals to connect with organizations that align with their values and goals.

As Bolsterup continues to evolve, its approach to growth remains grounded in the principle of learning and adaptation. Sotiris Pittas emphasizes the importance of having a well-rounded team that works cohesively and remains agile in the face of challenges. His advice to entrepreneurs and startup founders is to embrace the journey as a continuous learning curve, taking each challenge one step at a time.

This philosophy not only underpins Bolsterup's operational ethos but also serves as a guiding principle for aspiring innovators looking to make a mark in their respective industries.

Through strategic partnerships, such as the one with an angel investor who brings extensive construction industry experience and serves as an advisor, Bolsterup is poised for further growth.

Their collaborative approach, coupled with the platform's ability to meet the unaddressed needs of the construction industry, positions Bolsterup as a pioneering solution set to redefine the sector's future.
