Copper Island, a global film company with a strong presence in the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia, has selected Limassol as its new operational base.

According to the company’s announcement, Copper Island has already made major investments in international productions, with cumulative budgets exceeding $100 million. Among its collaborators are some of the world’s top filmmakers, including Ron Howard, Gus Van Sant, and Simon West, and renowned actors such as Sir Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino, Bill Skarsgård, Matthew Goode, Ana de Armas, Jude Law, Sydney Sweeney, Vanessa Kirby, Daniel Brühl, Shia LaBeouf, and Colman Domingo.

David Mansfield, Director of Operations at Copper Island, emphasized: “Our decision to establish the company in Cyprus is the result of careful analysis and long-term planning. This is not merely an expansion of our activities—it is a strategic positioning in a place with enormous potential.”

Mansfield added that Cyprus, thanks to its advantageous geographic location, modern infrastructure, and a vibrant and ever-evolving creative community, offers the right conditions for developing a new hub for high-quality film production. “We have strong faith in the talent found here. Our goal is to discover these individuals, collaborate with them, and actively support the emergence of a new generation of creative professionals.”

The company has already launched its new post-production studio in Limassol’s historic center.
