Cyprus-Greece Electrical Interconnection to Be Discussed by Cabinet Today
Consultations Between the Involved Parties Have Continued Over the Past Few Days, and Progress Has Been Made
Efforts are ongoing to bring the issue of the Cyprus-Greece electrical interconnection (Great Sea Inteconnector) to the agenda of today's Cabinet meeting, scheduled to begin at 11:30, according to sources from the Cyprus News Agency.
The same sources added that attempts are being made and discussions are still in progress.
When asked by CNA, Deputy Government Spokesperson Yiannis Antoniou stated that consultations between the involved parties have continued over the past few days, and progress has been made.
"The issue may be addressed by the Cabinet today and will be a topic of discussion during the one-on-one meeting between the President of the Republic and the Greek Prime Minister on Thursday," he added.
