Cyprus Industrial Turnover Jumps 5.6% Driven by Manufacturing Surge
Industrial Turnover Index up 5.6% in March, According to CYSTAT
Cyprus’s Industrial Turnover Index hit 144.7 units in March 2026, marking a robust 5.6% year-on-year increase. A stellar 8.2% surge in manufacturing and double-digit gains in resource sectors easily offset a sharp decline in electricity supply.
The Industrial Turnover Index reached 144.7 units (base 2021=100) in March 2026,, recording an increase of 5.6%, compared to March 2025, according to data published by the Statistical Service on Friday.
In manufacturing, the Industrial Turnover Index for March 2026 reached 148.7 units, recording an increase of 8.2%, compared to March 2025.
Increases were recorded in the water supply and materials recovery (16%) and mining and quarrying (11%) sectors. A decrease was noted in the electricity supply sector (-10.3%).
For the period January – March 2026, the index recorded an increase of 2.8%, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
