The Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry, in an announcement issued on Monday, reminded the public that the deadline for submitting applications under the “Scheme for the Production of Electricity from Renewable Energy Sources for Self-Consumption” (April 2024) is 31 December 2025.

From 1 January 2026, new self-consumption systems will operate in accordance with the provisions of Regulatory Decision 02/2024 (C.D.P. 376/2024), entitled “Regulatory Framework for the Operation of Active Customers and Energy Self-Consumers from Renewable Energy Sources.” A related clarifying announcement was issued by the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority (CERA) on 05 September 2025.
