Cyprus Seeds Celebrates Renewed Support from The Hellenic Initiative

A Huge Boost for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Cyprus

Cyprus Seeds is proud to announce the renewed commitment of The Hellenic Initiative (THI), a  founding donor whose steadfast commitment continues to empower the next generation of Cypriot  innovators. THI has played a vital role in our journey and their continued support for the 7th year is a tangible testimony of the support that Greeks and Cypriots of the Diaspora demonstrate in fostering deep-tech innovation and research commercialization in Cyprus.

Since its inception, Cyprus Seeds has benefited immensely from THI’s visionary backing in helping local scientists to transform cutting edge research into market-driven solutions and become  entrepreneurs. THI’s support has enabled us to fund and mentor multiple high-potential research  teams from Cypriot universities, to take their innovative research to the market.

With THI’s renewed sponsorship, the aim is to further strengthen its impact in the scientific community of Cyprus.

About Cyprus Seeds

Cyprus Seeds is a non-profit, private organization in Cyprus, with the vision to commercialize  innovative academic research and create a pipeline of deep-tech spin-offs. Furthermore, Cyprus Seeds is  a partner in two flagship initiatives in Cyprus, supported by the European Commission and the  Cyprus Government. These are the PHAETHON Teaming Project and the DiGiNN. Cyprus Seeds  has received a number of national and international awards and recognitions. The most recent  recognition is its ranking by the Financial Times, in 2025, as one of Europe's Leading Start-up  Hubs. We have an amazing network of partners in the USA and Europe, including The Hellenic  Initiative, The MIT Deshpande Centre for Technology Innovation, the egg accelerator in Athens,  the Conception X accelerator in the UK, DTU Skylab, and The Hellenic Innovation Network of  the Greeks and Cypriots in Boston.
