The 24th Paradise Jazz Festival is Coming
Esteemed Local and International Artists Perform in a Two-Day Music Event.
The Paradise Jazz Festival is a beloved non-profit cultural event that started in 1999 by Socrates Efstathiou. Throughout its evolution, with the support of Cypriot jazz musicians, it has acquired an institutional character with the aim of presenting the highest quality music on the island with jazz roots and beyond. It supports the progress and authenticity of the island's musicians and encourages collaborations with international artists.
This year, there will be six performances plus two jam sessions, with the piano and keyboards being the honored instruments in almost all performances!
On Friday, we will have the honor to start with the organist from Athens:
- Mr. George Kontrafouris and his Baby Trio.
Next, we will present Small Talented Hands-On Piano with:
- Andrei Voronetski and Daphne Koula.
The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the world-renowned American keyboardist:
- David Garfield. The multifaceted musician will come to Cyprus specifically for our festival and for a unique performance on the island!
On Saturday, we will have a dynamic Jazz start with the strong lineup of:
- "Working Quartet" who will present the music of the legendary pianist Bud Powell.
Immediately after, we will have a short break from Jazz with the incredible classical pianist
- Mr. Manolis Neophytou, who will perform solo piano pieces by Astor Piazzolla, Dmitrii Shostakovich, and others.
The highlight of Saturday night will be the next event, with:
- "The Boston Reunion", an unexpected meeting of old friends and musicians from Cyprus and America featuring Amos Hoffman.
Food and drink will be available during the festival weekend.
