Cyprus Christmas Villages to Open in 8 Communities
Festive attractions with local products, workshops, and events will run across all districts until January.
Cyprus will once again host its now-established network of Christmas Villages, welcoming visitors from 22 November 2025 until 6 January 2026, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism announced.
This year, eight villages across all districts will be transformed into festive destinations: Agros, Deryneia, Kakopetria, Kalopanagiotis, Kyperounta, Lefkara, Statos–Agios Fotios, and Fikardou. The initiative forms part of the Deputy Ministry’s grant scheme for community and municipal councils within the “Heartland of Legends” route, with applications evaluated earlier this year.
The Christmas Villages will feature decorated squares, wooden chalets selling traditional products and handicrafts, as well as experiential workshops in crafts and wine-gastronomy. Visitors will also be able to take part in nature activities such as hiking and cycling, enjoy guided tours of the host villages, and discover festive menus in local restaurants and accommodation.
Operating hours will follow a staggered schedule: weekends and public holidays from 22 November to 21 December, daily from 22 December through 6 January, with additional Friday openings on 12 and 19 December.
The Deputy Ministry stressed that the goal is to enrich the content of the villages each year so they remain an attraction for both locals and tourists. Full details of the program and activities will be published on the dedicated website www.christmasvillages.com.cy.
